Risk management

Define your entry, invalidation level, target, and stop loss before every trade. Know where the idea is wrong before you place the order. Use a stop loss as part of protecting the capital you allocated. Keep position size appropriate for that capital and your plan. A single losing trade should not prevent you from continuing responsibly. Risk management limits loss; it does not guarantee a profit.
